Why I chose oats recipes for weight loss?

One day, I tracked my total calorie intake which I used to eat before my weight loss journey. I was surprised to see the report, carbs & fat were beyond my imaginations.

I used to eat at least 8 rotis (bread)(4 lunch & 4 dinners) a day and sometimes rice as well in my lunch and dinner.

Most of my carbs were coming from rotis and rice. So, there was a dire need to work and control my carbs intake and its cravings.

Not only this, I figured out I was eating more carbs sticking to some particular legumes in my meals. So, I thought to take care of my meal on the plate properly.

First of all, I reduced my daily rotis intake (8 to 2) and also replaced white rice with brown rice.

Though I am not much a rice lover. Rotis were my important part of meals and controlling cravings for rotis was a tough task.

Oats for weight loss

There was a need for something that could fill the gap of my rotis. The need for something which could replace my rotis, control calories, and fat; and be healthy at the same time.

My sister used to eat oats sometimes for her weight loss.

One day I asked her to prepare oats for me as well. I tasted it and found it really amazing for my dinner and a good replacement for my 4 Rotis at dinner.

I prefer eating something light in my dinner & not something heavy which is difficult to digest.

Oat veg khichdi came in handy to me and really helped me a lot in my weight loss journey.

But, eating the same thing every night is boring. So, there was a need to do something innovative with my new dinner – taste-wise & health-wise both.

Most importantly, you can consume oats recipes anytime, let it be your breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

I never ever prefer eating ready-to-eat or instant oats available in the market. I always recommend everyone to buy plain oats and then cook yourself at home. Homemade foods are always healthy.

My favorite Indian oat brand

I even receive many messages to recommend to them what brand of oats I buy. I personally feel Quaker oats is the good one and never changed to other brands as it was working well in my weight loss journey.

Nowadays, the world is going online, so I purchase my grocery online sometimes. You can check the oats that I purchase below in the link.
