The recipes I am going to share in this article are called curd poha and milk poha.
Dairy products are high in protein and breakfast time is the best time to consume protein-rich food.
The good news is that these two Indian breakfast recipes contain dairy products making them even more healthy and protein-rich.
Keeping health, recipe variation, and taste in mind, I have two taste variants. One of the recipes is salty and another one is sweet for better taste buds experiences.

1. Quick Curd Poha recipe
The curd poha as the name says has curd in it and is from the salty breakfast recipe variants.
Below is the list of ingredients you will be needing to prepare the healthy instant 5-minute curd poha recipe.
List of ingredients:
- Poha (flattened rice)- 1 bowl
- Fresh curd- 1 bowl
- Milk- 2-3 tbsp
- Ginger – 1/4 tsp (grated)
- Green chilli – 1 (chopped)
- Curry leaves – 4-5
- Coriander leaves – 2 tsp (chopped)
- Black mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Pomogranet – 2 tsp
- Dry red chilli – 1
- Sugar – 1/2 tsp (Optional)
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Water – 1/3 cup
Note: You can add or avoid sugar as per your preference. It is optional.
Cooking method:
- Take a bowl of flattened rice, wash it, and keep it aside for a few minutes until it becomes soft.
- Add curd into the soaked flatten rice and then add the milk in the quantity mentioned above.
- Mix everything well.
- Now add salt, green chilies, ginger, pomegranate, and sugar.
- Add chopped coriander leaves in the end.
- Mix all the ingredients well
- Add a little water if the mixture looks dry and then mix well.
For tadka:
- Heat a tadka pan and add some oil
- Add mustard seeds and let them splutter well
- Add red chilies and curry leaves and fry them in the tadka.
Now add tadka into the poha mixture and mix everything well.
Your instant 5-minute curd poha Indian breakfast recipe is ready. You can garnish it with coriander leaves and pomegranates.

- Hot milk – 1 glass
- Almond – 3-4 (chopped)
- Cashew nuts – 3-4 (chopped)
- Rasins – 10-12
- Pomogranet – 1-2 tsp (optional)
- Banana – few slices
- Green cardamom – a pinch (crushed)
- Jaggery – 2 tsp or to taste
Cooking method:
- Take a mixing utensil to add a bowl of flattened rice.
- Pour hot milk in the quantity mentioned above into the mixing bowl
- Mix the ingredients well with the help of a spoon
- Add jaggery powder into the mixing bowl and mix everything well
- Now add dry fruits and mix well
- Then add crushed cardamom. Mix well
- Your fresh milk poha is ready to eat. Garnish it with dry nuts and banana slices.
